	Notebook Switch with Remote Control A notebook switch uses the one page of a binder/book/photoalbum to stabalize an item and the other to "push" a button. A notebook switch is designed to work only one feature of a remote control. Secure your tv remote control with sponge or foam board cut to the exact size of your remote. On the other binder page, glue a small piece of foam board to align with the button (ex. channel up) you want to activate on the remote control. Note: You can buy a universal remote that is thin and easy to adapt for a notebook switch. This will also keep the main tv remote available for other family members. Note: Turning a tv on an off repeatedly is not advised. Therefore, rather than adapt a notebook switch to turn a tv on/off, I recommend using the channel feature of a remote.
	Big-button Universal Remote The remote is more accessible than the standard tv remote due to its enlarged buttons. It can work many features of mulitple AV equipment devices (TV, VCR, Cable). The multiple buttons may be overwhelming to a young child. Idea: You can place stickers on the buttons you would like to encourage the child to use. Note: You can find this item at RadioShack for approximately $30.00. It is also available through some AT Vendor websites for a similar price.
	Single-switch TV Remote This switch allows you to control the functions of a TV and VCR with the touch of one switch. It comes with pre-programmed sequences, such that each switch activation will perform another function. It can also be programmed by you to control chosen functions (on/off, channel up/down, play or stop, etc). It can be purchased at www.ablenetinc.com for about $90.00.
	Adapted Remote Control This a pre-fabricated adapted remote available through www.enablingdevices.com for about $60.00. This remote works a TV or VCR. The TV mode allows a user to control the power, channel, and volume. The VCR mode allows a user to select power, play, stop, rewind, and forward. Note: You will need separate switches for each remote function.
	Adapted Universal Remote Control This is another pre-fabricated adapted remote control. The Adaptivations company has added jacks for switches to the big-button universal remote. This device allows up to eight switches to be used to control a TV and VCR. It will allow a user to turn a TV on/off, change channels, adjust volume, and work a VCR. It is available at www.adaptivation.com for about $ 120.00. Note: You will need switches, one for each function, in addition to the remote.
	Jumbo Universal Remote Control This remote uses large buttons to work at tv, vcr, dvd, cable, or satellite. The different functions are represented by different colors. This remote can be accessed by the large buttons or through switches as jacks are integrated. It is available at www.enablingdevices.com for about $ 150.00.
