Notebook Switch with Remote ControlA notebook switch uses the one page of a binder/book/photoalbum to stabalize an item and the other to "push" a button. A notebook switch is designed to work only one feature of a remote control.Secure your tv remote control with sponge or foam board cut to the exact size of your remote. On the other binder page, glue a small piece of foam board to align with the button (ex. channel up) you want to activate on the remote control. Note: You can buy a universal remote that is thin and easy to adapt for a notebook switch. This will also keep the main tv remote available for other family members. Note: Turning a tv on an off repeatedly is not advised. Therefore, rather than adapt a notebook switch to turn a tv on/off, I recommend using the channel feature of a remote. |

Big-button Universal RemoteThe remote is more accessible than the standard tv remote due to its enlarged buttons. It can work many features of mulitple AV equipment devices (TV, VCR, Cable). The multiple buttons may be overwhelming to a young child. Idea: You can place stickers on the buttons you would like to encourage the child to use. Note: You can find this item at RadioShack for approximately $30.00. It is also available through some AT Vendor websites for a similar price. |
